The Wind N Wings Museum currently has several restoration projects in its inventory.
Along with its flying L-2M, which will begin restoration at the beginning of 2001, we have an additional L-2M, a Boeing PT-17 / Stearman and a Navy RC-45J Twin Beech.
The Stearman will be restored to Navy Instrument Trainer status and the RC-45J will be restored to its original Navy reconnaissance configuration as it was when it was based at Navy Pensacola.
The L-2’s will be restored to their original military configurations and specifications except for the upgrade of the engines from 65 hp to 95 hp.
Please visit often to keep up with the progress of the restorations.
VOLUNTEERS If you are interested in participating in these restorations, the museum is always looking for volunteers. We welcome one and all.
Help keep a part of history alive by participating in the reclamation of these historic aircraft.
